“What kind of physicals are held here exactly?” I ask the General. He chuckles. “Oh, nothing all that bad really, just a scan and a few tests is all. Now go over and stand on that red marker. I look where he points and see a red circle light up on the ground. Then another one next to it. They are about one foor apart from each other. “I take it one foot for each circle?” The General nods. “You got that much right ya psycho cat.” I glare at him as I walk over to the circles. Once my feet touch them they light up and turn blue. “What now?” I ask. “Just stay still. They will scan your body for everything both physically and mentally healthy. It will scan your entire body and tell us if you have any special powers that your mind says you don’t know of and things like that. Got it?” Before I can answer he says “Good! Then lets begin the cat-scan!” As I sarcastically laugh, the General leaves the room and goes behind a computer desk. That is, a desk that IS a large supercomputer. It is obviously used for these tests. He throws a switch and my room goes from all white lights to completely black. The only light comes from the circles I am standing on. “Alright now Psycho, just stand still and relax your body and your mind. The machines do all the rest.” I nod and take in a deep breath, then exhale, and I shut my eyes. I am fully relaxed. And the machine knows it too. It has already begun the scan. I can tell this since I hear the General telling a scientist who just walked in that the test just started. I relax more and more, and eventually, there is a ping by the computer desk. I then hear the General talking to the scientist again. It is pretty inaudible, but is easy to tell that they’re talking to one another. A few minutes pass by, and then the General starts talking into the PA device to the testing room. “Alright P, You’re done with the scan. Now it is time to test your mental reaction timing. What I need you to do is a simple target test. All you need to do is destroy as many as you possibly can. Can you do that?” I give him a thumbs up, which probably looks a little weird since I have only three fingers. His look tells me that he doesn’t know what I’m doing. “Yes I can do that” I eventually have to say. He smiles in a way that makes me uneasy. He pushes a glowing red button on the computer desk and suddenly some glowing red targets appear all around me at blinding speeds. They are normal red and white targets, but in the darkness, the white can’t be seen. Only the glowing red circles. As the first one zips past me I simply toss out a quick jab and get it. A ding is heard. Then as the other targets begin to zip around in some random order, I chase each one down and ‘ding’ them too. It is way too easy! I didn’t even have to try to use any of my powers! The General and scientist both seem amazed. “I have to chase down something more rapid than those things on a daily basis. It’s Chaos’ pet Rotom that he named Netman.” The scientist makes an “Ooohhh I see what he means” sound. The General just nods. “Impressive” the General says without his expression changing. “Even though that was only Level 1. Are you ready for Level 2?” “Ha!” I laugh out loudly. “I think I can do Level 4!” The scientist whispers something to General Mon. “Actually. Chaos is wanting you out back. It is up to you however…” “Lets go to Chaos!” I immediately say.
Later…
“Hey Pixel!” “Hey Chaos!” We meet up in some high-tech training area. We are surrounded by robot soldiers who have been completely obliterated by Chaos’ fighting style. “I see you’ve been training like there’s no tomorrow!” I tell him. “Well, since this place cuts down your power usage, I figured that I needed to train my body physically with hand-to-hand combat.” “I see” I tell him while scratching my chin. “You don’t mind if I give it a go, do ya?” Chaos smiles and shrugs. “Nah, I don’t mind at all! Go ahead and-“ Suddenly an alarm starts blaring. Chaos and I look to the ceiling wondering where it’s coming from. Then the General walks up to us. “That alarm means that some very dangerous criminal has just been apprehended and is being brought in. I suggest you come with me to see who or what we nabbed this time.” General Mon takes off back into the building and soon we follow. We follow him down the several long and wide hallways until we see a squad of MIB who currently are holding back someone who is in a crazy-suit like at the penitentiary. It has his arms crossed and tied with belts and Velcro to keep his arms folded and in. as they pass us, I see the man quite clearly, and all I can think is “wow”. He is almost egg-shaped with the body, he has long arms and legs, he is wearing black goggles over his small beady eyes, and he has one HELL of a mustache! His hair, what he has of it that is, is all a deep brown color. He’s almost three times as tall as General Mon! “I am telling you the truth! I AM THE TRUE DR. EGGMAN!!!” He yells at the squad of ten men. “Yeah yeah, sure thing Ivo. Whatever you say…” says one of the men behind him. They continue to take him down the hallway and into some kind of room that emenates a really bright white light. General Mon comes up to me and explains that he was a deranged criminal who believed that he actually was the Dr. Eggman. He built robots in his image to terrorize cities and towns in order to find Chaos Emeralds. “You see, in order to stop his rampage once before, before we used as much violence that is, we gave him seven fake emeralds. He bought it for about a year, and by then we decided to take different means of apprehension. This time he was terrorizing a small town to the west called New Bark Town. We got there just in time to stop him from firing a laser right at Prof. Elm’s laboratory. As you can see, he is an absolute loonatic.” I start to walk ahead to see what they are going to do to him, but the General grabs my arm. I turn around to face him. “What’s wrong?” He lets go of my arm and suddenly his tone changes. “I have a mission for you and your Anubis-like friend here” he says motioning towards Chaos. “We have had some odd reports of people disappearing at the Ruins of Alph.” “Oh yeah! I heard something about that on the local news earlier today.” General Mon shakes his head. “We had to cover up some of it to hide what was really happening.” I start to ask what it is, but then he continues on. “We are trying to get a special item to someone deep in the ruins. They go much deeper than that noob squad of researchers believe it does. We have the key to the secret door in the far south of the ruins, and in there is a trainer awaiting the delivery of a key item. Someone took it from him and we happened across it and took it to study it. We believe it is called the Azure Ocarina or something like that. We need someone that isn’t so damn scared of the dark to go in and deliver it for us.” I look at the small little man with anger. “Our first mission is to deliver someone’s lost item?! What the-“ “Before you finish that sentence my young Psycho Kitty, ask yourself this: Do I really want to be kicked out and have my friend stay in the Secret Police by himself?” I go to argue, but after some thought, I just cross my arms and scoff. “Fine. Lets just get it over with…” General Mon nods his head and leads us to another large room. This one is chock full of scientists and people that have pet robotic Pikachus holding onto pokéballs for them. “Hey Chaos,” I whisper, “check out these super nerds!” Chaos just looks at me with an emotionless glare. “Those super nerds are Pokémon trainers. We are Pokémon. Put two and two together and try to stay quiet about things like that.” I take his words to mind. Especially after seeing one of the Super Nerds glaring at me with a Master Ball in his hand. He flashed it into my vision on purpose. I gulp quietly. We continue following General Mon into the next room. This one has only scientists in it. They are inspecting and running tests on some odd purple thing on a table in the center of an observation room. It closely resembles an interrogation room. General Mon takes us into the room and takes us to the table with the purple thing. He gets us chairs and we all sit down at the table. “This, my newbies, is the Azure Ocarina. We have to get this to the trainer before the Unown get him first. Is that understood?” We both nod out heads. “Sir yes sir” I say. General Mon seemed pleased at this. “Good. Now here, take the Ocarina, and get to the Ruins of Alph as quick as you can! Here is the key to open the Secret Hall in the south area of the ruins. Can you simply deliver this to the trainer?” I nod. “Sure thing. After all, it sounds easy enough.” “A little too easy Pixel” Chaos states. “What is the catch here Mr. Mon?” Mon looks with a slight frustration in his face at Chaos. “It’s General Mon, if you please, and there is a catch to it. The Unown have been extra restless recently, and they pose a dangerous threat to all who approach them. Go with caution, and if you come back here alive, and you have succeeded in your mission, then…well, we’ll talk about that when the time comes. Now go on! Get out of here and deliver that thing will ya?” I nod and take the ocarina. I look at it closer and it is really a flute. Granted an ancient one that looks like an ocarina, but still just a flute. Chaos is already at the door waiting for me. I tuck the flute into a psychic pocket my neck with my necklace and head out the door. While Chaos and I are heading for the front doors, he asks me, “Pixel, I forgot. What did you say your necklace was again?” I look at him. I take out my necklace from my psycho-pocket, and look at it closely. “To be honest, I don’t remember where I got it exactly. I’ve had it since I can remember. First thing I remember is me in a large forest being surrounded by a pack of Luxio and their leader a Luxray. He called himself Rayshilux.” I continue explaining my history as we climb into a cab that the SP had provided for us. The driver will take us to the Ruins of Alph while we sit back and relax. “The Luxray, who called himself Rayshilux, told me that I was trespassing on his tribes’ land and that I should leave immediately. All I did was ask him why, and he got furious. That’s when he surrounded me with his tribe and warned me to leave again. I was very young, so I got scared and didn’t know what to do. I shut my eyes in fear when the tribe pounced on me all at once, and I awaited for their jaws to close around my neck. I heard a thunder bolt crack very closely nearby when they pounced, and another one just immediately after I shut my eyes, but oddly, their jaws never clamped on me. I waited there, eyes shut, trembling with fear, for what felt like several minutes, when I finally opened my eyes. What I saw I won’t ever forget. “You see, while I shut my eyes, something or someone had whupped the tribe’s butt BIG time! All I saw was Rayshilux and his tribe knocked out in front and all around me, and this fast black blur darting around to escape my vision. All I could make out was four legs, long ears, and yellow circles on it’s body that glowed blue light. “That’s when I knew that someone was looking out for me. That’s when I decided to get as strong as that guy that saved me. I wanted to find him and thank him for what he did. That’s when I ran into you actually, very soon after. You should remember that. We met in the plains just as I was leaving.” Chaos nods. “Yeah, I was still a Riolu back then.” “Exactly.” “There’s one thing I don’t understand though Mr. Pixel” the driver says. “If you are a Mewtwo, then doesn’t that mean you were created in a laboratory?” I go to answer, but hesitantly. “Well, um, yeah but…” “Then why don’t you have any memory of that laboratory?” Chaos looks over at me with a look that says “he’s right” on it. I can’t even think of an answer. “To be honest, I remember being born in a lab, but I don’t remember the lab itself or anything around that time…” Chaos looks confused as well as the driver. We continue driving for a few more minutes, when we come to a stop. Our doors open for us and we see the Ruins of Alph right before our eyes. When we get out, the doors shut, and the car starts moving again. It drivs on the ruins until a portal opens up and it drives right into it. That would explain how we got inside the ruins without anyone noticing us. I put my necklace back into my pocket and we head on into the Ruins’ main entrance. We are officially beginning our first mission for the Secret Police.

Once we arrive at HQ, we climb out of the cab, and are greeted by General Mon. “Welcome back! I see you found someone else to be with you. Is it a civilian?” Chaos scratches the back of his head. “Well, kinda sorta…” General Mon looks very confused. “Elaborate soldier.” I take a step forward. “Long story short, Chaos has a dimensional double who decided to join us. Mine decided not to. His name is Hydro.” Mon scratches his chin. “Hmm… Well alirght then. You three are able to leave.” I object immediately. “But we just got here! Don’t we at least get briefed of something?!” Mon clears his throat. “What I mean is that you get a little break. You did a job that none of my other men succeeded in doing. You all deserve a few days off. I imagine that the job was very tiring after all.” I start to argue that it was actually extremely simple, but Chaos telepathically tells me to not object. “Because if he did know how easy it was, then he would probably give us even more hard work! Do you want that?” I telepathically answer with a short “No I don’t.” I then go back to speaking. “Thanks a bunch General!” I say while saluting. Thank you sir!” General Mon salutes me back. “Well done soldier! You may be what I hoped you could be after all! At your current rate, you can be the ultimate Secret Officer!” “Thank you sir!” I say still saluting. “At ease” the General tells me. I stop saluting and relax my body. It was stiffened up straight. General Mon turns around and goes back inside HQ. Me and my friends go back into the cab and ask to be taken home. The driver snickers a little bit ans says “sure thing! We’ll be there in a few moments!” He starts up the cab, and literally drives next door. Next door to the complex was our house! We lived next door to the Secret Police the whole time! My jaw drops to the floor. “How-wha-who-wha-“ I stammer. Chaos chuckles. “Yeah, I couldn’t believe it at first either.” We all climb out of the cab and head inside. We are immediately greeted by an orange zipping electrical ray. I grab Netman before he can zap our new friend and cavemate Hydro. I explain how he got here and why he is here. “He has no home anymore and we are currently his only knows friends in this dimension. Now, do you think that you can treat him better than you do to me and Chaos?” Netman nods his little head. “Sure thing Psycho Cat! Sure I can do that!” The little ghost Pokémon zips over to Hydro and inspects him closely. Very closely… They stare into each other’s eyes for what seems like hours. Then suddenly, Netman bursts towards Me at a high speed. “I don’t know how, but he seems familiar… You sure I haven’t met him before?” I nod. “Yeah I’m sure. He just joined up with us from another dimension.” Netman stares at me blankly. “…what? Another dimension? Are you serious?” I nod. Netman doesn’t move for a few minutes, and then, he bursts out laughing. “You mean, you actually expect me, to believe that?! Ha!” He continues to laugh so hard, that he actually can’t stay airborne. I just groan an the little guy. “Well Hydro, allow me to show you around! You are staying with us after all.” I make a follow me motion towards the stairs and we go up together. I show him the bedrooms-we each have our own one-as well as the bathrooms. After that we head downstairs where I show him the meditation room just beyond the stairs. You see, the stairs face the front door. That way, when you first come in, if you go straight you can go upstairs. But if you head straight and to the left of the stairs you can enter the meditation room from there. We head out the meditation room and go past the stairs and to the right of them. That puts us into the kitchen which has a window thanks to the cave at the far end of it. We head back to the front room, which is immediately after you come in the door, and to the immediate right in front of you is the three seater couch. It is a nice burgundy red color. It matches the carpet to the cave. In front of the couch is the giant flatscreen television I manage to “obtain” a while ago. “And that concludes our tour! Please make yourself at home” I tell Hydro. I yawn loudly afterwards. “Now, if ya’ll don’t be mindin’ I’m-a headin’ to-a bed. ‘Night ya’ll!” As I yawn again, everyone tells me good night. I head upstairs, get tucked into my bed, and quickly fall asleep. Before I do, I think to myself, “What a hectic day today was! I need to get some rest tonight. That way, I’ll have plenty of energy…tomorrow for our…day…off…” I yawn again. Three seconds later, I fall fast asleep.
I open my eyes and see a white void. I look around me, and nothing can be seen anywhere for miles and miles. I start to walk in one direction, but it doesn’t feel like I’m moving. I use my psychic powers to leave behind “bread crumbs” of psychic energy in the shape of circles on the floor. I learned that from some TV show about aliens or something… As I walk on for what feels like hours, I decide to look behind me. I gasp in horror. My bread crumb idea worked, but I hadn’t moved even ten yards! I knew my legs were moving but I hadn’t gone that far at all! I start to dash ahead while looking behind me. This time I do move ahead. Two seconds of dashing and I hit something. I cautiously look in front of me, rubbing my head, and I see a tall and wide cube-like structure. I touch it once and it immediately folds in on itself and becomes a much smaller cube that I can hold in the palm of my paw. It was just like from Transformers the movie when Bumble-Bee took the All-Spark cube from the Government. When I pick up the cube, some smoke suddenly surrounds me. I see some silhouettes appear in the fog that are very familiar. As they approach me I realize exactly who/what they were. One has a jackal/Anubis like appearance, one has an anthromorphic appearance to it, and one looks a lot like an upright cat. I realize that they are me and my friends! They walk closer and closer, then they stop right in front of me, and the “me” that is standing there begins to show a smoky black aura surrounding him. Then its skin grows pitch black, its eyes grow a blood-red, and to my horror it attacks my friends! It goes Sparta on them with no mercy! After the carnage subsides, all that remains is Chaos’ body, completely decapitated on the ground, and the dark me standing on it with one foot, and he roars into the sky. Its voice is demonic and deep. After it is done roaring, it turns and looks at me. We make perfect eye-contact. It slowly starts towards me, inching closer with every waking moment, and I continue to step backwards. Once it speeds up a bit, I turn tail and dash as fast as I can! I couldn’t believe what I witnessed! This HAD to be a dream-it just HAD to be! It had to be…it should be…it must be…I think it is…everything feels so real… As the dark me approaches ever closer, the white void has been turning into a pitch black abyss. I continue to dash into the never-ending darkness as the dark me gets closer and closer. When I finally manage to look back behind me, its gone! I stop and skid to a halt while still floating. I skidded on the air in other words. I watch the direction that he was following me from, and I await the instance that he just jumps out and scares me shitless. I wait…and watch…and wait…and watch some more…and it never comes out. I gulp down some of my fear and turn back around. “Boo.” I wake up in my bed all hot and sweating. I find myself gasping for air, which is odd enough for me, but to have a completely quiet house? That is where I had to start worrying. I rush downstairs, but once I get there, no one is to be seen. I walk around, calling out their names, and Netman comes to me. He is zipping around just as crazy fast as usual. I grab him by the plasma “tails” that he has behind him when he zips around. “Netman, would you mind telling me where my friends went?” He shrugs with his plasma. “Netman no know where friends go. Netman just play goofy around.” I toss the little guy through a nearby wall to the meditation room. I sigh, plop onto the couch, and turn on the TV. To my shock another Bulletin is on. I sigh again at this. “This just in for those who are just tuning in! A black hedgehog has been confirmed and is holding hostages in the First National Bank of Goldenrod City! S.W.A.T. team officers are now approaching the building to try and apprehend the little thing. And…wait a minute…” I see her put a hand to her ear. “Okay, yeah, yeah thanks. Alright. This just in! Two officers of an organization knows as the SP or something, we don’t have any confirmation on what it stands for, have reached the building!” The camera turns around to the two officers. I see their silhouettes and I immediately dash out the front door without even bothering to grab my trench coat!

Once I reach the building I dash up to the two people I saw on the television. Once I reach them, I greet them by name. “Hey Chaos and Hydro! Why didn’t you wake me up for this?!” Hydro turns around to me and faces me. “We thought that, uh, you could use some more rest is all…” I see that this isn’t the Hydro I knew. It was colored differently and the Chaos I know wasn’t a red Lucario! “Who are you!?” I yell. The other Chaos grabs the other Hydro and whispers, thinking I couldn’t hear them, “Anti-Hydro, stop talking to him! We oculd get into major trouble!” “Like hell we would! He came up to us and started the conversation, not me! We won’t get busted for something like this!” “Uh, I can hear you, you know…” I say to them. The two Anti’s gulp and run for the hills. Literally. They run for the hills south of Goldenrod City. I am about to chase after them when the real Hydro calls out my name. “Hey! Pixel! Good to see you up! Ya think maybe you could help us out over here?” He yells. I look around but don’t see him anywhere. “Over here!” I hear him call out. I turn towards the voice and see an overturned bus with Hydro and Chaos hiding behind it. I quickly dash over to them. Once I’m behind the bus, they explain everything that has happened while they’ve been there. “You see Pixel, when we first got here, we were just looking for some fast-food for me” Hydro explains. “But as we passed this bank, the upper floors exploded with flames and heat! Chaos and I tried to get closer, but then he sensed a presence. An odd one he said. We took cover behind this overturned bus that had wrecked when the explosion had first occurred. We watched as these odd look-alikes to us had appeared from the burning building, wearing these odd smiles that seemed like them feeling quite content, and they turn to face the building and smiles even wider. That’s when you came in Pixel.” I nod. “I see. Well, according to the news report I saw before heading down here, the hostage situation is being held by black hedgehogs.” Hydro gasps. “That sounds like Shadow!” Chaos and I look at him with blank stares. “Oh, right, Shadow is a video game character from my world. But how there is more than one, heh, there is only one possible explanation. Dr. Eggman is at large.” Chaos and I look at each other, then back to Hydro, who continues. “These Shadows are nowhere near as tough as the original Shadow the Hedgehog, but they are still a force to be reckoned with. They are fast, agile, and ruthless. If we are going to rescue those hostages, then we need a plan.” I blankly stare at Hydro. “What?” I point behind me at a running Lucario who is running into the burning building. Hydro facepalms. “Do you at least think he heard what I said before he bolted?” I nod. I then proceed to stand up and dash after Chaos. Hydro groans in disgust and follows us inside.
Inside the hostage containment area…
“Man, I never wanted to go hostage with this! All we needed was a few thousand dollars to bust the Doc out!” says one person. I can’t hear them since all three of us are waiting quietly around a nearby corner leading into the cubicle area that they are waiting in. “I know man, but the boss said to do whatever it takes to get this money…” says another one. It seems to have a different attitude than the first one. “Both of you just shut up!” That one sounded both furious and seemed to be the leader. “Bickering will get us nowhere! We need to calm down and think of what we’re going to do now.” The first one responds first. “Maybe, we could just give ourselves up?” “ARE YOU NUTS?!” screams the leader-like one. “What will that accomplish?!” “Let me finish first. You need to learn to listen first and talk later. Now, unless someone else wanta to interrupt me-“ “MEEP!” I have to contain my laughter when I hear the second one screamed this as loud as Netman on a double D-Cell drink. Chaos and Hydro, too, have to put hands to their own mouths to contain themselves. “Shut up Greg. I’ve had enough of you today…” “Actually, that one was pretty funny!” Said the leader-like one. “Shut up Will! Jeez! You are our leader but you don’t seem to stick up for us! Just yourself!” “Uh-excuse moi Mr. Anger Issues, but I stick up for EVERYONE in this room! Even the new recruits say I’m a good leader!” Hydro gets up and walks into the room casually. “Hey guys, can I join up with ya?” We hear several chairs skid on the tiled floor, and a long silence. Finally, some footsteps, then a sound that sounds like a Pistol or Assault Rifle being cocked. I can’t help but think to myself that he is SO gonna die! Longer silence. Finally, a voice is heard. “Depends. Whose side are you on?” Hydro replies “Wait, there’s more that one side? All I wanted to do was be with a group of people that had guns, used them, be all badass, and best of all, know how to look kickass WITH attitudes to match! That’s really all I wanted!” I hear the gun’s trigger being gripped. I can’t help but think to myself “Hydro gonna die” over and over. Then, a slight grunt, and a soft chuckle. “Well then, lets see if you are worthy enough to be a part of the Shadowed Stalkers! Take this-it’s basically our member ensignia that everyone in our group has.” I hear Hydro catch something. “My-my own…gun? Really? You’re giving me this?” “Of course! All of us have our own Pistol. However! If you truly wish to join us, then you must customize it to your liking. Once it is customized, you are officially a part of our little group!” I hear Hydro cock the gun. “Wow…hey-just a quick question about you guys…” Will asks what it is. “Well, I always thought that Shadow the Hedgehog, although you guys are mechanical AI copies, was loyal to Dr. Eggman. Not the original one, but you guys, I mean.” A long silence. “Well, we used to be loyal to him, but after he got busted after a Chaos Emerald in a nearby jewelry store by the Secret Police which seemed to overpower the good doctor all too easily, we decided to go our separate ways together. Satisfied with that?” Hydro doesn’t answer, but he must have nodded. “Good! Then, if you won’t mind, if you will customize your weapon-“ “Don’t worry about that! I have some awesome stuff at home and they are based on two things. Chaos itself, and Pixelated objects like 8-bit video game people.” Chaos and I then proceed to enter the room. What Hydro doesn’t know is that Chaos created an aura shield around the two of us that make us invisible from the outside of the shield. We go around Hydro and to the hostages. Chaos does the work while I continue to watch Hydro do his magic in the arts of Manipulation. Greg walks up to the hostages and stop right next to us at the window. He stares out it for several seconds while Hydro continues talking to the others and then shuts his eyes after about ten seconds. I can’t tell what they are talking about anymore however. The one that came up to the window then starts to twitch his ears. He must be listening to the conversation from this location. As Chaos tries to get more hostages from the cubicles, the one with the twitching ears opens his eyes suddenly. He turns in the direction of me and Chaos and glares at us unmoving. Several seconds pass before he moves back towards the group of black hedgehogs, but he does so by still watching my location. I can tell he must’ve heard me breathing or something. Once he stops watching me and returns to the group, I let out a soft sigh of relief. Apparently it was too loud because I got a few looks from the group. I instantly stop moving and cover my mouth. I hear one of them tell the other one that looked at me to go and check it out. The other one groans, gets up, and walks over to my location. He seems to sense something around me, so he reaches out a hand towards me, closer and closer, while I slowly try to inch away without breathing too loudly, and when he grabs, he managed to just barely miss my nose! He then shrugs and goes back to the group saying that nothing is there. I sigh with my hand over my mouth and telepathically ask Chaos if he was done yet. “I’m afraid not yet! I need to figure out how to get them out of here unharmed. But with these Shadowed Stalkers all around us, I find that almost impossible!” He replies mentally. I think about that, and then I have a wonderful idea. Sonderful to me anyway… I jump up, stay floating in the air, and just float over to the group. They don’t notice me at all until I am right next to their ears! When one of them turns around and sees me, he instantly pulls out his custom made hand-gun and I put up a shield of psychic energy which bounces the bullet off from it and back to the guy. It hits his leg. I rise higher with a shield around my entire body, and slowly but surely, my body grows darker and darker. Chaos knows what is happening. “CHAOS” I say in a demonic tone. “Yeah?” “GET THE HOSTAGES AND GET THEM OUT OF THE BUILDING. THIS IS GOING TO BE BIG!” Chaos quickly nods and uses his aura abilities to protect the hostages while getting them out of the building. The leader of the group of Shadowed Stalkers tries to escape with them, but when he reaches the door, something black and almost evil feeling bounces him back. He rubs his head while looking at the now half-visible wall of darkness. “NO” I whisper. “THERE IS NO ESCAPE FOR THE LIKES OF YOU!” Greg, scared now, meeps in fear. I look up towards the ceiling and a pulse is unleashed. After the pulse, I gently float down to the floor thirty floors below and black out slowly as Chaos and Hydro quickly approach me. I black out completely as they try to get me up onto their shoulders.
Later…
I wake up in my bed. I can tell it is my bed due to the familiar comfy lumps in the lower back area. I look around and see that it is indeed my room. I slowly get up, get out of bed, and float gently downstairs. I see Chaos and Hydro fighting over the TV remote. But when they see me, they quickly give it up and rush over to me. “Are you alright?” Chaos asks me as Hydro quickly inspects my body. I gently push him away. “Personal space dude.” I say softly. I feel weak for some reason. “Pixel” I hear Chaos say. I look back to him. He takes the TV remote from Netman who was trying to sneak up to it and goes to the DVR menu. He goes down to something named “Mad Pokémon on the Loose” and hits play. I float over to the couch and sit down slowly. I watch as the Live news report plays. “We have little confirmation as to what has happened but what little we do know is that there is a Pokémon on the same floor as the hostage situation. We are about to send in S.W.A.T. team members in after the hostage takers and…what was that?!” There was a dark pulse of power just at that moment. Also a Lucario could be seen rushing out of the building at that same moment as well with the hostages. After the pulse the Lucario went in the building’s new holes in the side created by the pulse of dark energy and picked someone up. It was me. Hydro went in with him. After he picked me up, he walked out the building, now slowly collapsing, and screams “MEDIC! Someone get me a medic over here!” Everyone surprised to see a talking Pokémon, hesitates, but soon a medic arrives at the scene. They get my body into the ambulance and they head out for the hospital. Meanwhile… “You are all as shocked as me folks, but we just witnessed a talking Pokémon right here and now!” The TV pauses. I ask Chaos about what happened afterwards. He explains… “It isn’t important right now.” I hold up a hand. “It is to me. Now please, tell me, what happened next. I woke up in my bed so how did that happen?” Chaos sighs. “To be honest, the SP got us out of the ambulance before we made it to the hospital. They brought us back here. I thanked them for it, but they didn’t listen and left as quickly as they first showed up. We got you into your bed, came downstair to watch some TV, fought over the remote, and then you came back downstairs.” I stare at him blankly. “I see…” At that moment, my neck begins to glow a dark blueish color. I take out my necklace, which is glowing very brightly with a dark glow, and suddenly it stops. Hydro is shocked at my necklace and says he knows something like it. “The one I know about however only glows like that in the presence of something dark and/or evil.” At that moment a shadow appears behind my head. I can tell because I looked behind me when Hydro pointed behind me in fear. I see a ghost just appear from what seemed to be nowhere and scream like a banshee! Hydro holds his ears and drops to the floor. I snicker a little bit. When Hydro looks back up at me, I’m scratching the chin of the ghost. He sees that it’s a Haunter. “Good one Ted; it didn’t work on me though.” Ted snaps his fingers. “Aw crud! I was aiming for you Pixel! That sucks…” The Haunter droops a little. I scratch its chin quicker and it lifts itself back up; it seems to be purring. “You like that huh?” I ask it. Ted smiles and its tounge hangs out of its mouth. When I stop Netman zips over and inspects Ted. “Huh, I never knew a Haunter lived here!” He yells in a staticy voice. Chaos and I snicker. “What’s so funny?” Chaos explsins that he never knew he was there because Chaos never told him about Ted. I agree with that as well since I didn’t tell him either. Hydro stands back up. “I sure didn’t know about him either!” Then he has an idea. “Hey, Pixel, hold your necklace’s pendant up to Ted for me.” I start to ask why, but he interrupts me. “Just do it!” He yells. I give in and do as told. The pendant in the necklace glows more as it approaches Ted. The closer it is to him the more it glows that dark and eerie glow. Hydro snaps his fingers. “That is why it was glowing!” Then Chaos’ eyes widen. I am about to ask him what the matter was when he dashed over to the TV and starts the recording again; from the beginning. He slows it down as I came down from the ceiling. He paused it as he was approaching me and he zoomed in using the Google TV we have. He zooms in on my neck, and to our surprise, it was glowing the same way that it was just a second ago. That means that something dark/evil was there at that time! “But what could it possibly be?” I ask. Hydro snaps again. “I know someone who would know!” Chaos and I stare at him. “Who?” We both say in unison. “I know one being that can sense all darkness and space distortion by nature. He is very rare to see, and in fact, he is known as a Legendary Pokémon because he is so rarely seen…” “You don’t mean-“ I begin to ask. “Yes, yes I do Pixel.” He says. He pauses, and then finishes. “Darkrai” he says in an almost fearful tone. I gasp. “But-but isn’t he supposed to be…evil?” Hydro shakes his head. “No! Not at all. He is only misunderstood is all!” I look over to Chaos with fear in my eyes. He can obviously tell this because he looks back at me with a “don’t worry” look in his eyes. He turns back to Hydro. “Well, Hydro, I can go with you to his home-Full Moon Island. Pixel here, I don’t know…” Hydro nods. “I understand. He’s a Psychic type and therefore weak to Dark types. You, Chaos, are both Steel and Fighting types. You will be very strong against him therefore.” Chaos nods. “That’s right. So, we actually going through with it then?” Hydro nods. “Lets go!” He says. The two head out the door, Chaos tells me they’ll be back soon, and they head out. I shake my head at myself. “Come on Pixel old boy, you can take down an entire team of ultimate life-forms easily, and yet you are afraid of a simple dark type Pokémon? How insulting! You are a Mewtwo! One of the most powerful of all Pokémon! You can do it! You know Aura Sphere anyway, and that is super-effective on him! So go out there, catch up to your friends, and help them out!” I managed to psyche myself into actually doing that. I rush out the door, and to my surprise, they were both standing there and waiting for me. Chaos nods once but exaggerates it. “I knew you couldn’t resist a challenge!” He says out loud. Hydro flips a coin and Hydro catches it. “Alright. You win. He did do it after all…” Hydro tells him. I’m about to ask why when Chaos explains they made a bet. “…But that doesn’t matter now! Lets go get that Darkrai!” We all grab each others hands and I teleport us to the island. Hydro tells me that teleport only works on places that said one has been to before. “Yes I’ve been here before” I tell him. “I have a memory of being here, of playing here, with…wait-what? I don’t believe it! I, supposedly, played here with-“ Chaos interrupts me. “He’s over here! Hurry up!” We get to a clearing and Darkrai is standing there in the center. Hydro sees him standing there and then bolts in and tosses something at him! It hits him in the head, then floats in mid-air! Darkrai is then sucked into the object by a red light! The object hits the ground and begins to shake. It makes an odd “wayoh” sound over and over again while it shakes. Several minutes pass by until the ball stops moving. Hydro leaps into the air and yells “YES! I cauht a-“ The ball explodes and Darkrai is standing there again. “Dangit!” Hydro yells.
