It's the year 200x, whatever that means.
Everyone. Relies. On. Technology. The world is run on a vast network, first called the internet, now simply dubbed as, the Net Road. This road twits and turns about within computers to even deep space. It carries data around the world. This road, or, 'Net', is home to thousands of cyber citizens, most what we call, 'Net Wizards' or their predecessor, 'Net Navis'. They are our personal assistants, who help make life easier. So in a nutshell, the world has a huge cyber space, that computers, humans, and Net Wizards alike run on. It's made out of electromagnetic waves, capable of bending to the far reaches of space. Net Wizards are lucky. This road is a sight to be hold.
All isn't fluffy and white, however. There is...
Static. Formerly known as 'Noise'. This is the price that we pay for our conveniences. This is the jerk that messes up our TVs. THIS IS THE SOB THAT MAKES OUR PCs BSOD!
...
*ahem*
So. What is static? Static is electromagnetic smoke. The exhaust of our lazy asses. Electronic devices give off this stuff, and when there's a lot around, well, shit happens.
Anyway, I forgot to mention something. Technology is beautiful in it's mobile form. We have 'PET"s, which stands for, "PErsonal Terminal". It is pretty much an iPhone, only with holograms, good calling, and Net Wizards. Net Wizards, when not roaming the cyber world, make their home inside your PETs. You do know that if you've got an upgraded PET, you own your very own Net Wizard, right? Pretty neat. Net Wizards are also able to appear in the real world, via electro magnetic holograms. They can touch and even pick up things, and send those things into the Cyber World, or, Net Road. There is also rumored to be a special ability only certain beings can posses, which enables them to fuse with a Wizard, or vise versa, but that'll come up later.
One last thing,
Viruses. Virusesvirusesviruses. These are a cross between prototype Net Wizards and Static. As their name implies, all they do is cause trouble. Fortunately, humans and Wizards alike can tackle these guys with battle chips. Battle chips allow you to use special data that can materialize as weapons in the cyber world, to take care of those bastards.
So, are you ready? Let's jump into the beautiful world of the Net Road!
Character Sheet:

NET WIZARD:

Bio:
(Here I go.)
OPERATOR:
Name: Jacklian Livingston Chaos
Age: Unknown, somewhere around 13-15
Gender: Male
Personality: Smart, but clueless, hard headed as well, dare devil.
Bio: Waking up a few years back with no memory of who he is, he adapted to the world as well as he could. He sits back and lets the world do it's thing, but is ready to help when he needs to, albeit, he can be quite lazy. He also created his own Wizard, named,
NET WIZARD:
Name: Netman.EXE
Maturity: 30, occasionally 5. Voice is that of 15.
Gender: Male
Personality: Similar to Jack, only is almost never clueless, knows what he's doing, calculating even more, IQ of 140.
Bio: Being created by Jack, you'd think he looks up to him, right? Wrong. 67% of the time, he looks after Jack, almost like a parent. Sadly, he's aware that he can get too playful, and tends to play around too much, so he sits back and follows Jacks orders. He doesn't really ask questions unless needed. A bit of a two sided face; Can be completely emotionless and robotic at one point, and at other times can be quite energetic and playful.
I'm minding my own business, backed up by a corner of a battle chip store. I wanted to compete in a tourney /bad/, I know me and my Navi can do it! I'm just so disappointed that they had to call it the "W1 GRAND PRIX". Why? Because W1 stands for 'Wizard One', and 'Wizard' sounds just-- wrong. Net Navi is so much better. But never mind that.
"Hey, hey, hey, Jack, whydya say it like that?!"
"Wha--?"
"You sound so angry in that monologue."
"wha-- WHAT MONOLOGUE? I WASN'T SAYING ANYTHING!"
"You know I'm good at reading minds." Netman said. A cloud of pixels slowly formed next to me, and materialized into a humanoid form, until...
Zap!
Netman appeared next to me, as high definition as can be.
"I know every single thought that slips outta that head of yours."
"Gah."
