Chill the Cincinno’s background story-Part 1


Chill the Cincinno led a normal life. Ever since his early years, he was told he would amount to something great. Little did Chill know that this was quite true. He didn’t know it yet, but he was indeed going to measure up to greatness one day. But, to fully understand everything, we’ll have to go back. Waaayyyy back, to before the beginning. Chill’s early years. Back then, he was only known as by his real name. Chan. Chan the Mincinno.

“Chan! Honey it’s dinner time!” shouted a lovely looking Cincinno. She was about age 30, give or take about five years, and was a proud mother of three. Chan, Sally, and Decaft.
“Coming mom!” I shouted from the swing set I was playing on. I come here every day after Lunch and I play with my friends until Dinner.
I run over from the swing set made out of tires, steel, and trees, and head for home. When I get there, I enter through the door just about three feet tall. It’s made out of hickory. The handle is made out of rubies that were found in the nearby electric cave.
“Alright mom! I’m home!”
“Dinner is being set out as we speak honey! Come on in!”
I walk into the kitchen. It has a striking resemblance to a cave. Then again, our home is in the side of a small cliff, so it would only be natural it seemed that way.
“What’s for supper tonight mom?” I asked my mother who was busy cooking dinner. That’s when my brother and sister walk in from outside.
“Hey mom! We’re home!” yelled Decaft. He’s the oldest of us triplets. Sally is the youngest. I’m smack in the middle.
“Okay deary! Dinner will be done in a second! Come in and take your seats!”
I see my siblings come in. One of them takes a seat opposite of me at the table. The other one, Sally, sits at the corner of the table to my left.
“So what did you kids do today?” asked my mom who is now bringing us our dinner of boiled Enigma berries and a salad made up of various delicious berries. Such as Oran, Sitrus, Leppa, and Pecha.
“Well, I was with my friends at the swing set, obviously.” I say.
“Me and Sally went over to Wise Ol’ Ling’s house. We heard some great stories! There was even one about the world’s creator! Arc-something I think…”
Sally nods. “Yeah. Apparently, this Pokémon itself helped to create the entire world from only a single egg! It hatched from this egg, and with his power, he made the entire world!”
“That’s amazing!” I say when she finished.
“And that’s not all! Apparently, something called a Pokémon Trainer caught this Pokémon, and is now training it to become even stronger!”
My jaw drops. “But-but if what you said it did it really did do, then how could it possibly get any tougher?!”
My brother shrugs. Sally says “I don’t know” and with that the topic was dropped.
“Well, what about you mom? What’d you do today?”
“Well, if you must know, I met a new friend today. And what you called them, Pokémon trainers, are real. I met a Pokémon today who was recently released from one.”
Sally gasps. “Wow! Really?”
Mom nods. “Yes. His trainer gave him a nickname. He goes by that name now rather than the one he used to go by.”
I whistle. “Whoa.”
“Yeah, and that’s not the end of it! I told him about my kids, and we agreed that he’d come over for a visit tomorrow!”
My brother goes almost ecstatic. “THAT’S SO COOL!!!”
“Don’t jump out of your fur now Decaft” I tease him.
“What’s his name then?” Sally asks. Then my brother calms down and awaits my mother to answer. I, too, am curious about the answer.
“His name is Anubis.”
“Like that Egyptian God of Death or whatever?” Decaft asks. Mom nods. “Cooooooooolllll…”
“Anyway, we met, we talked, we like each other, we have a lot in common, and we agreed to meet with each other tomorrow. We decided that he would come over for Lunch so I want you three to be home for and after Lunch, alright?”
We all nod. “Not a problem!” I say. “I’m curious as to what Pokémon he is!”
“Me too!” says Sally.
“And me three” says Decaft.
“Okay! Frankly, I think you will like him. He’s adventurous, funny, a family man-in a way, and he hand-“ She stopped abruptly. “Uh, hand…um…handy! He is multi-talented with more than one task at once!”
I chuckle. I know what she really meant.
“Not only that, but trust me, you’ll know him when you see him. He’s tall, rugged a little, and handsome for his age!”
“Why? How old is he?” I ask.
“He’s four-wait! You shouldn’t ask people that!”
I can’t help but laugh. My siblings stare at me. I can tell that they are trying to hold in their laughter.
“So, what time of Lunch?” I ask mom.
“Huh? Lunch time, that’s it.”
“No, I mean, like what TIME for lunch?”
“Oh. Around normal time will be it.”
I nod. “Can’t wait for it!”
Then I feel what was sneaking up on me finally come out victorious. I couldn’t hold it in any longer…

“Whoa! Big yawn brother!” Sally said playfully.
“Shut –yawn- up…” I say while rubbing my eyes.
“Why don’t you go on to bed Chan? You’re obviously exhausted.” My mom asks me.
I yawn in response. “Alright” I manage to barely say in mid-yawn. I excuse myself from the table after finishing off my dinner, brush my teeth, and I head off for my bed. You see, just through the dining room is the kitchen. Past that is a kinda long straight hallway. Three doors on the right, and two on the left. The right doors are (and in order too) mom’s bedroom-used to be parents’ bedroom, but ever since…well, I don’t really want to speak of it…-followed by the bathroom. Lastly is my room. The leftern doors are Sally and Decaft’s rooms.
After rinsing my mouth out, I head for bed. I quickly get tucked in, cover up, and almost instantly I can feel myself drifting away. I can’t wait for tomorrow! I want to see this Anubis character! I…can’t…-yawn-…wait much…longer…Zzz…Zzz…

The next day…

I wake up in my bed. My covers are half-thrown to the side. I must have been tossing and turning in my sleep again…odd…I have no recollection of any dreams last night…
“Hey, mom, what’s for breakfast?” I call out as I head out of my room after I made my bed. I walk through the hallway and I notice my siblings aren’t in bed anymore…huh…they’re usually the last ones up.
“Mom?” I call when no answer came the first time. “Decaft? Sally? Anyone?”
I walk through the kitchen to the dining room. I noticed that breakfast hasn’t even been started yet. I walk through the dining room to the front room. The TV is on, yet no one is watching it. I go over to the couch, grab the remote, and switch off the television. Then I quickly turn it back on when I saw what was on. It was the news, and I could not believe what was being broadcasted…
“We repeat:” started the news anchor Gothorita with a blue bow in her dark blue dyed hair. “The fugitive is armed and dangerous. For you that are just joining us, the mass murderer SSD has escaped. We go now live to Alcaratz with our field reporter there. How are things down there O?”
The screen changed over to an Emolga with green eyes and a red tie. “It’s not good over here Gwen, we just found out that not only has he escaped, but has escaped into a nearby neighborhood. Residents of the following counties be on full alert.”
He started to name off names. I heard my County name called.

I couldn’t help but to assume the worst. I think my family may have been taken by-
That’s when I feel something. I know it. Someone is watching me…
I quickly dart my gaze all around me, searching for the source of the mysterious voice.
“Do not worry young friend, I am not an enemy.”
Curious, I decide to take the bait. “Who are you?”
I hear nothing. No voice, no movement, nada…
“Hello?” I ask a little softly. I was being cautious.
No answer.
“Hello?” I ask a little louder.
No answer.
“HE-“
“QUIET DOWN WILL YOU?!” I hear someone whisper as he places a hand over my mouth to shush me. I nod. He removes his hand and I turn around to face him. Nobody is there.
I began to question how he did that, when I feel something tap my shoulder. I quickly turn around to see a tall thing standing before me. It’s blue with white fur on its chest, it has black paws, and it’s ears are tall and pointy. Next to its ears are these things that somewhat resemble ears themselves, but are drooping down to the side.
“Who-no, WHAT are you?” I ask in a whisper. “And why must we whisper?”
“Not now. First we need to get to safer grounds.”
“It isn’t safe here? But why?”
“SSD is on the loose, and I have suspicion to believe that he may come here.”
“Him?! Here?! But why?!”
“He used to crash here after a crime or a big hit. That is, before you and your family moved in.”
“How do you-“
“Not now! We must get moving!”
Before I could say anything else he grabbed me by the head with a single paw and he rushed outside. He continued to quickly dash with me in his grip until we made it out of the village. The way we went was to the left of my home. We continued until we made it to that electrically charge cave.
“Alright. We’ll be safe here. For now anyway.” He says as he puts me down. We stopped just outside the cave’s entrance.
“Okay, spill it” I tell him. “Who the heck are you? How do you know all of that? What’s your name? WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?!”
He sighs. “If you must know, it’s because I know SSD pretty well.”
I gasp. “You KNOW him? Exactly how do you KNOW him stranger?”
“We used to be friends.” He stands up and goes into the nearby tall grass. He continues talking. “I used to be his best friend you see, that is, until he went completely coo-coo…” He returns with large pieces of wood in his arms. “He wasn’t always that crazy you know. He once was just as sane as you and me.”
“I understand me, but I can’t understand you. I don’t even KNOW you!”
The blue being sighs once more. He closes his eyes, holds out a hand to the wood which he made to look like a campfire, and suddenly, FWOOSH! It was set completely ablaze!
“WHOA! How did you DO THAT?!”
“It’s an old Aura trick.”
“Aura? What’s that?”
“Ever heard of mana?”
I shake my head.
“Oh. Well, Aura and Mana are one in the same. Aura is mana, and mana is Aura. Both are the exact same as the other, and what they are, is Life Energy.”
I cock my head slightly. “Life energy?”
He nods. “Yes. Every single living thing gives off an Aura of some kind. Using this Aura Seeing ability, you can tell the intentions of any and every one. Blue if they are righteous and good, or, if they are malicious and bad, then a deep red.
“My kind can see Aura from birth. I, however, unlike my brothers and sisters, couldn’t harness it as easily. I had to work harder, practice more, and finally unlock it after some time.
“You see, for some reason I do not know, I couldn’t use it at birth like my siblings could. I had to unlock it completely by myself. I managed to do so, but I wasn’t ever as strong as my siblings, my parents, or even my ancestors themselves.”
I nod twice. “I get it.”
“Good. I didn’t really want to go into further detail…”
“But, this Aura as you called it, you said you had to unlock it rather than being born with it.”
He nods. “that’s right.”
“Then, would it be possible, for any living thing to unlock it?”
He seems to flinch but quickly hides it. “Technically speaking, yes, you can. It would be extremely difficult though, since you do not have the gift of being born with the ability, but you can unlock it and even use it as will.”
“Cool…alright, back to the matter at hand here, why did you kidnap me?”
“I didn’t kidnap you.”
I clear my throat. “Um, actually, by definition yes you did. You took me away from my home without my consent and without me agreeing to go with you, so yeah you did.”
He sighs again. “Look, I did that so I could save your life!”
“Oh yeah? Prove it!”
He sighs once more and nods. “Fine. As you wish.” He holds both paws up and a blue sphere appears above his head. It begins to morph into something. Inside it, something clears and I can see something inside it. It’s my house. The lights are on, the door is wide open, just like I left it behind me. Only difference, I can see shadows against the windows. The mirror like orb zooms in and we go inside the house. It surveys the area and soon we see something. It looks like a mouse, only it is completely yellow with a brown tipped tail. We circle around it and we see it’s face. It has red cheek circles that are sending out some electrical pulses and it’s eyes are filled with evil and hatred. It looks like as if it didn’t have any other emotions to begin with.
“See? If would have found you, then by now, you’d be dead.”
I gulp and hold a hand up to my throat.
“But it isn’t over yet. Just watch.” He tells me this as he opens his eyes and looks at me. His eyes are blazing with light blue. It’s like they’re on fire or something.
I turn back to the ball of Aura and watch as the creature continues to wreck the place. I can hear what he says now. There wasn’t sound to start with, but I guess that if he focuses hard enough, that it’s like we are right there the whole time! That’s pretty cool!
“Where, is, he?!” He says. With each pause, he breaks something else. “He HAS to be here! According to my informant, he should still be here asleep!!! So…wait…did he possible wake up and walk out the door?” He says this as his wave of destruction paused.
“So, do you believe me now?” the Aura man asks me. I simply nod in response. “Good. Now that we’re safe, I can…wait a minute…”
The Aura ball begins to zoom around the entire house. “Where are they?” The zooming quickens. “This isn’t good…”
I hear a rustling sound from behind me. I quickly turn around to see a bush moving. When I watch it, the moving stops.
“I was afraid of that” Aura guy says.
“Of what?” I ask. And with that we’re zooming through the cave at high speed! All I have time to see is that we passed some large electrified crystals! A few seconds pass and we’re out of the cave.
“Too close” Aura dude says.
“Okay, what’s going on here? Seriously, I need to know!”
He sighs. He loves doing that I suppose. “Alright. In a nutshell, an escaped convict has remade his old group and is after you. As for why, I can’t say here, for it isn’t safe enough. But if we can make it to my place, then I can tell you everything. But not here.”
“Okay, and about that rustling back there?”
“That I believe was one of the group members. From its Aura I could sense bad intentions, so I got us out of there as fast as I could.”
“Alright, I’ll buy that. Especially putting into consideration everything else that has happened so far, I’ll believe you.”
He smiles slightly. “Good. Now let’s get going. It is WAY too dangerous here.”
I nod. “Fine, but on one condition.”
“What is it?”
“I get to walk.”
He chuckles. “Agreed” he says. I chuckle back and eventually we’re both laughing. While doing so, another biped creature with white skin walks by us and starts to stare.
“What are you looking at?” asks the Aura guy. “Ever seen two laughing friends before?”
The creature screams. “Talking Pokémon!!!”
“What’s her problem?” I ask Blue dude.
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! A TALKING RAT!!!”
I quickly turn to her. “Now see here! I am not a mere rat! Do I LOOK like a Rattata to you?! I think not! I am a Mincinno thank you very much!”
She stared at me the entire time I was speaking. When I finished, she seemed to faint.
“………oops” is all I can say.
“I…think we should go…” Blue boy says. I nod.
“Yeah…let’s get going…”
We walk through the town, trying to not draw attention to ourselves. Well, that’s what HE called it anyway. In my opinion, by doing just that, we drew MORE attention.
We walk through town and make it to a large tower. The sign back a bit said it was called Dragonspiral tower or something. We head inside and the
Place is chock-full of purple creatures with sharp hides and these statues with these seals on their chests. I swear some of them were moving.
“Okay, we’re almost there” Aura guy tells me after we went upstairs a ways.
“almost where?”
“To my place.”
We reach a spot where columns are broken and litter the floor. We walk over to one and he knocks twice on a spot that seemed cracked. When he knocked twice, rather than breaking more, it opened up like a door!
I gasp. “Secret door!”
“That’s right” he says. It opens all the way and he walks right inside. I follow him in after looking around me for anyone else. It felt like we were being watched. Maybe it was just my paranoia acting up…
Inside, it was like…well…the inside of a column actually…
“Nice place you got here” I tell him.
“Thanks. I wanted to make it look nicer, but I only had a little time to fix it up before going over to your mother’s house.”
“Wait, so you are Anubis?”
He nods.
“Whoa. You do NOT look like my mother described.”
“Really? How-“ he shakes his head quickly. “Uh never mind. You wanted to know about what’s going on, right?”
I nod quickly twice.
“Alright. Well, pick up a chair, for this will take a little while to tell you. For you see, you came into this world by different means than your own siblings. They don’t know about any of this though. You see, in a very complicated way, I am your father.”
I gasp. “SAY WHAAAAAT?!”
He holds up a hand. “Let me explain everything. Don’t worry, genetically I am not your father, but in a way I actually am.”

“You see, there is a being named Arceus. According to the myths from my region, my home land, he created all life on this Earth. But, in a way, he also is your father. For you see, it was he to created you in the first place. And no, I don’t mean that way, I mean it was him who created you personally and gave you to your mother. No, you weren’t adopted, you were born like your siblings were, but you see, your mother was selected to give birth to the savior of the Earth. There is a prophecy, foretelling the end of the world itself, but also that there was a way to stop it. If the Savior were born before 2012, then that Savior would be able to save the world. According to the Prophecy, the Savior is a small Pokémon, with many friends helping him. A small brown fox-like Pokémon, a tall purple cat-like biped with Psychic powers, a robot, and a Lucario. I’m a Lucario, so for all we know, I could be that same Lucario. That’s why I am so intent on risking my life just to keep you alive."

I whistle. “Wow. That’s unbelievable” I say.
“Well, whether or not you believe it, it is true. Now, as I was about to say, the reason why SSD is after you, is because of what I just told you. He wants the world to come to an end. Why he does I haven’t a clue, but he does. Like I said, he’s gone all coo-coo.”
I nod. “Works for me” I say with a shrug. “Just one last question: what about my family? Whatever happened to them?”
He looks downwards. I can tell that it is bad news.
“I’m sorry, but I managed to get them out in time, but they couldn’t escape. I brought them here, but when I got back later with food for them, they were gone. Signs of a struggle were present so I know that this was an intentional attack. I found no survivors, no remains, and no clues. I don’t know if they’re alive or not…”
I look downward with my eyes shut. “I understand” I eventually say.
“But for now, are you hungry?”
He gets up, goes behind a part of the pillar that caved in, and he brings out some grocery bags. “Because I have all of this food, and I sure as hell can’t eat it all by myself!” With that, he smiles. I simply smile back.
So time passes by, nobody attacks or anything, so for that I am quite grateful. But, I can’t shake this odd foreboding feeling that’s getting worse with each passing minute…
Soon, dinner arrives, and nothing else has happened besides nothing itself. That’s when I ask Anubis a question.
“You said that you were coming over at around Lunch time to my mother, so why were you there beforehand?”
“Like I told you, I went there to save you. Remember, SSD was-“
“No” I say as I hold up a single paw. He stops. “What I meant was why you were there so early to help my family…”
He seemed to freeze. That was something that really struck him hard! Now I KNOW that he’s hiding something from me!
“Well, you see, I-wait, what was that?”
He gets up and opens the door to the secret compartment in which we are living in. He goes out, tells me to stay put in case of danger, and leaves with the door shutting right behind him.

“It’s been two hours! What on earth is taking him so friggin’ long?!”
I open the door, risking my own safety, and take a peek around. As soon as my head leave the hole of the door, BAM! I get hit and hit hard!
I bounce off the floor and roll all the way into a column. “OW!” I say as I rub my head in pain. “That hurt!”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAHAHA!!! I have you now you little Schmitt!”
I look back up and I see what hit me. Anubis. Only thing is his voice. It is much darker and has a bit of a gangster tone to it.
“You’re finally mine! Get over here!”
He jumps down and charges in at me! I managed to dodge him and he slams right into the column I hit when he got me! KER-POW! The impact made the column collapse! The resulting crash created a bridge to the upstairs area! Right over and around that giant boulder!
I watch as the imposter shakes off his crash. He stands up. “Okay, I did not see that one coming, but no more freebies for you young one!”
He zips from his spot towards me! I block my face with both arms and prepare for the hit!
………
And wait……
And wait……
And wait……
Finally, I unshielded my eyes to see what’s going on. I see another Lucario standing about two inches away from my face, and he is blocking off the attacker! The attacker is in mid-air with the attack still going strong! Finally, the second Lucario pushes outwards, thus sending the first one farther away.
“I should have known that he’d send you” The second Lucario said. It was Anubis. The REAL Anubis.
“Pfft. So, my intel was correct after all, you ARE looking out for a mere kid! What’s happened to you? You used to be the baddest of all of us! Except him of course…but that’s obvious…”
“Who?” I ask. But nobody seemed to have heard me.
“You know very well Ditz that I quit that life. I’m not a bad guy any longer. I have changed my ways; turned over a new leaf.”
The first Lucario-the one with the Gangster accent-laughs almost evilly.
“Ha! So, you saw right through me did you? Heh, fine, there’s no use in hiding my true identity then now is there?”
The Lucario melts down into a small pink puddle. The resulting blob begins to stretch out and soon small beady eyes appear along with a mouth. It actually looks a little cute!
“Ta-da! This, young rat-boy, is my true form! I am indeed a Ditto! The name’s Ditz, a pleasure to meetcha!”
A slimy hand stretches from his body all the way to me! I flinch slightly, but we do shake hands. At least he is polite!
“Ditz, what on earth are you up to this time?” Anubis asks when he retreats his slimy flubber-like hand.
The puddle snickers. “You shouldn’t know since you haven’t heard!”
“Uh, durr?” I say. If he hasn’t heard then how could he possibly know? That’s just stupid!
“Allow me to explain a bit further into detail. Now I won’t say much, but I will say this. Our old team Anubis has been promoted! That’s right, promoted! We’re getting more important jobs for the boss now! And that’s not all! One more thing for yas! Our boss has big plans-BIG plans for something! That’s all you’re gonna get from me for free! See ya later suckuz!”
With that he transforms into a large winged beast with large rainbow colored wings and large crown-like plumage on top of his head. He flaps once and turns in mid-air. Then he blasts through the wall making a huge hole!
“Is there something you’re not telling me here Anubis?” I ask once the beast disappeared from view.
He sighs. “Yeah, but I was hoping to avoid this conversation. Long story short, I used to be part of an organization of mean and rude Pokémon bandits. We used to be called Team-“
“I’m not interested in that! What I want to know is what he was talking about with his boss” I interrupt.
“Oh, right. His name I don’t even remember, but I do know this. We always did what he said because of how strong he was. Nobody could defeat him! That’s why he was the boss. He only went by one name that he believed suited him perfectly. A bit egotistical if you ask me…”
“And that name would be?”
He stays silent. A few seconds pass by before he says it. “Mastermind” he says with a bit of fear in his voice.
“Are you serious?”
He nods. “And that’s not all. If what my intel says is true, then his plan includes but is not limited to World Domination. There’s only one chance we have to stop him now, and that chance, is you.”
“ME?! How?!”
“The prophecy. We need to get you to the top of Celestial Tower ASAP. We have no time to waste-let’s go!”

We headed out the next morning. We grabbed some supplies-food, compass, maps, etc.,-and were on our way. We left Dragonspiral Tower at about Dawn, so according to Anubis, we’d be able to get to Celestial Tower by sunset if we didn’t stop for anything.
“Uh, by anything, do you include food and bathroom breaks in that?”
Anubis nods.
I sigh. “Well, slright. I’ll do my best…”
He looks at me. “I meant that’s how long it’d take. I didn’t mean that’s what we’re going to do. If we have to stop for something for you, then we can and we will. It’s just me that doesn’t have to stop.”
I sigh. “That’s good.”
We continue on our way through the town from before. We try to stay hidden but I think I was still spotted. I think that because I heard a female say something like OH MY GOD!!! IT’S THAT TALKING RAT AGAIN!!! But then again, that’s just my opinion…
By the time sunset was upon us, we had just reached the tower. We stayed outside because-according to Anubis-it was too dangerous to go inside at night. So we decided to make camp for the night.
We set up a tent by throwing a tent over a string tied around two trees like a hammock. It will stay down as long as we put the stakes in the tent through the ground. So we do that and Anubis goes into the brush. He returns moments later with firewood.
We get a roaring fire going, and I scoot closer to it so I can stay warm. I rub my hands next to the gorgeous orange flames.
“Well, while we wait for tomorrow to arrive, we have a lot of time. Exactly what is your story Anubis? You know that Pink Flubber obviously, but how?”
He looks deeply into the fire. “I don’t normally speak about that particular part of my life, but I can make an exception.”
He gets up, goes into the tent where our stuff is, and comes out with some marshmallows. He hands me a few and I put them on a nearby multi-pointed stick. He does the same.
“You see, I used to be part of an organization. This organization is similar to Team Rocket of the Kanto and Johto regions.”
“The team what and the what regions?”
He sighs. “Different places and Team Rocket is made of humans. Rocket is an organization led by Giovanni. He wants to take over the world. To do that, he steals and obtains powerful pokemon by cruel and malicious means.
“Once, he even paid these scientists to clone a Pokémon for him, knowing it would have immense power, but the bad news about this, is that those scientists succeeded.
“They cloned the DNA of the Mother Pokémon Mew. Myths say that all Pokémon originally came from this Pokémon. Her DNA has the DNA of all of us. Giovanni had them clone her, and the resulting Pokémon was too powerful. They told him that he was created by science and was created for science as well. He didn’t like that idea-not at all.
“As a result, he grew angry. That’s when he discovered his Psychic powers. Using these powers, he destroyed the facility that created him, and anyone else that was stil in it.
“After that, he went off to a distant island to think. He decided to wreak havoc and have revenge on the Human race. He didn’t know that all humans were good. You see, after destroying that facility, he was found by Giovanni and trained by him. That’s why he destroyed the facility and fled in the first place.
“As for Kanto and Johto, tohes are simply places on this Earth. Like a county, only a LOT bigger.”
I nod. “Alright, I understand, but why tell me all about this creature?”
“This creature, named Mewtwo by the scientists who created him, is the purple cat in the prophecy.”
“Alright, and about this prophecy, exactly what all does it say will happen?”
“Well, as you already know, you and others are foretold to save the entire world. But what you don’t’ know, is what is going to cause it and as such.”
He pauses. He eats one of his marshmallows. I do the same.
“Please continue” I tell him.
He swallows his mallow and inhales deeply. Then he sighs loudly.
“Okay. Now, a word of caution to you, this may get a little much for you, so if it does, just let me know.”
He holds a fist up to his mouth and coughs twice. He’s clearing his throat.
“Alright. Where to begin?”
“At the beginning would be good” I say jokingly. I swear I actually witnessed him smile.
“Right. Okay, now this prophecy has been handed down for generations by my ancestors. We, being the Aura Guardians themselves, hold the sole responsibility of guarding this prophecy as well.
“What it states is in an ancient tounge, but roughly translated, it says “The White One with The Psycho Feline, The Metal Wolf, The Special Fox, and The Aura Guardian shall be the Ones to save the world.”
“Wow. So, no pressure on me or anything right?” I say with a smile. He smiles back.
“Yeah, pretty much. It’s just saving the world, so it isn’t like you have to save the universe or anything!”
I laugh and Anubis chuckles. Then I yawn.
“I believe it is time for The White One to go to The Tented Bed” I say. Anubis smiles.
“I agree” he finally says. I head inside the tent, climb into a sleeping bag, and quickly fall asleep.

The next day…

I wake up. I stretch out, yawn, and get up. I head outside the tent and find Anubis standing next to the now dead fire staring up towards the top of Celestial Tower.
“By the way Anubis,” I start, “I thought that Arceus was at the top of Spear Pillar, not Celestial Tower. That’s what the legends that Ol’ Ling would tell my brother and sister said.”
He nods. “Yes, that is correct. However, he is also found at the top of Celestial Tower, if one is worthy enough…”
“Worthy enough? What do you mean?”
He looks down to the ground. “I mean, if one is worthy enough in His eyes, then you are allowed to meet him. If not, then you get diddly squat. Nothing. Nada. Zilcho. Zip. You get the idea.”
I nod. “Yeah, I get it…”
He claps his hands together. “So! Are we ready to go?” He says as he turns around to me.
“As ready as I’ll ever be!”
He nods. Using his Aura, he packs up our camp sight. He puts away the tent, puts away the firewood we didn’t use back into the forest, and he puts everything back into the pack it was all in originally.
“That is so cool…” I mutter under my breath.

After everything got packed up, we started up the tower. A lot of candles with blue flames tried to say they knew the way or knew a shortcut, but Anubis said to not trust them. They’d lure us off the path and then suck out our life energy and use it as their own. Creepy. Just the thought of how they would do it made me shudder.
We continued up the spiraling stairs with no problem. Only a few battles actually happened. Some of those candles actually tried to take our energy by force. I believe Anubis called them Litwicks or something.
Once we finally reached the top, we came up to a large bell. Anubis said that I had to ring it a couple times to get His attention. I did just that. But, after it rang twice, nothing happened. It slowly stopped swinging after the third gong.
“Uh, Anubis, wasn’t something supposed to have happened by now?” I ask him after several minutes.
“I don’t know…” he says rather slowly.

My ears twitch. “Did you hear that?”
“Hear what?”

“That! That right there!”
“I don’t hear any-“

“Did ya hear it that time?”
He simply nods.
“What is that?”
-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-
“I have no clue” he says over the loud booming sound.
It continues booming until it is like whatever is making the noise is right next to my eardrums! I have to roll up my ears AND hold them in tightly due to how loud it is! Then, suddenly, the noise stopped.
“What in the name of Arceus WAS that?”
“You rang?”
We look straight up and see a bright light. A bright white light that seems to have stairs leading down from it. I put on sunglasses and it helped a lot, for now I can see exactly what it is! I have no idea WHAT it is though!
“I say again, you rang?”
“W-w…what?” I manage to stammer out. Whatever it is, it’s voice is LOUD. It seems to echo too…
“I said, you rang? You know, called? Said my name? Wanted me here so you summoned me? Etc., etc., etc.?”
“Are you…Arceus?” Anubis asks. I look over to him. His eyes are shut, his second set of ears or whatever they are are standing up shaking, and his paws are glowing blue aura.
“Yes…I am Him…now, I believed you wanted to speak to me?”
“Yes we did!” I begin to speak while slowly walking forward to be right underneath Him. “Yes, we have come to speak to you! We need your help to-“
“Don’t. Allow me.”
The ball of light shines brightly for one second before He continues.
“Let me guess…you came here because of the prophecy…am I correct?”
In awe, I can only nod.
“And you. You came here with him in hopes of asking me a request. Am I wrong?”
“Um…I-“
“Not you White One. The Aura Guardian that showed you the way here. I ask again: did you or did you not come here in hopes of a request being granted?”
“Yes, I did, but not only because of that. I have seen great potential in this kid, but he hasn’t actually shown it in battle or anything. I have seen his Aura, and I know that he is capable of great things. Please O Great One, believe me!”
Silence.
“Great One? Is something the matter?”
“No. I just don’t like kissasses is all…”
I chuckle. I see Anubis turn and glare at me even though his eyes are shut. I can’t help but shudder.
“I do belive you Aura Guardian. You have done well according to the Prophecy. What is your request?”
“Really?”
“Yes. Say it, and you shall have it.”
“I wish to have one of your plates!”
“You are granted. Which one?”
“Uh, Arceus-“ I started. But I was interrupted.
“Dark Type!”
“Very well.”
The ball of light explodes with brightness and soon grows dimmer. Dimmer than before even. Not only that, but a tablet of some kind is falling down towards us. It goes towards Anubis, who is scanning the area.
“What? What is wrong Aura Guardian? Do you not want your requested tablet of power?”
“It isn’t that, it-“
“It’s just that he didn’t ask for it! I did!”
We watch as something fast and speedy zips by and takes the plate! I couldn’t even tell what it was!
“What trickery is this?!” Arceus yells out. “You! Guardian! What did you do?!”
“I swear! I didn’t do anything!”
“TRAITOR!”
“He is no traitor” said the voice from before. We all look around but can’t see what was talking.
“Show yourself Mortal!” Arceus booms in anger.
“I’m right here!”
I hear something make contact with something else, and soon the ball of light is rocketing towards me! I jump out of the way just in time to see Arceus hit the ground hard!
“ARCEUS!!!”
Anubis opens his eyes again and runs over to me. “We need to go!” he tells me. I go to argue, but he picks me up and we make a mad dash for the stairs! Once we reach them he goes to jump down them for more speed, but he lands just above them!
“What the-“
“HA HA HA HA HA!!! YOU CAN’T ESCAPE ME!!!” the voice from before is screaming. “YOU WON’T ESCAPE ME THIS TIME!!!”
“This time?” I ask. “What do you mean, this time?”
“You thought you could get away from me just by simply running away, didn’t you? Well not anymore! Now, with the power of Arceus in my grasp, you can’t get away from me anymore!!!”
A wicked thunderbolt comes as if from nowhere and we just barely manage to dodge it! It must have grazed Anubis though, for when he landed, he skidded to a halt with a wince of pain.
“Are you alright Anubis?”
“Yeah, it’s just a little scratch. I’ll be fine.”
“Well you won’t be fine when I’m through with you!” the same voice says. Then, the sky above us turns a wicked black, and I can see lightning above us, going from cloud to cloud.
“What’s going on here?” I scream above the ghunder booming above us.
“HA HA HA! You still haven’t figured it out yet have you? You don’t know who I am do you? Well then, allow me to introduce myself…”
A lone figure is coming down from the clouds. It is rather small, but coming from it is immense electrical power! It is so strong that my fur is standing on end!
It lowers itself down to right in front of us. When it lands, we finally get to see who it is. It is a small yellow mouse with red cheeks and a lightning bolt shaped tail. SSD.
“You! How did you-“
He interrupts us with maniacal laughter. “Rather simple actually! Once I found out he wasn’t at home, I knew that you must have come to rescue him! You goody little two-shoes! You really haven’t changed a bit Anubis…”
“Neither have you. Still all power mad as ever, isn’t that right, Sparky?”
“THE NAME ISN’T SPARKY!!! IT IS SSD NOW!!!”
He throws lightning bolts at us and Anubis just barely managed to dodge them. Eventually, as the dodgeing continues, one of them hits its target. Anubis gets hit hard! I even feel the electricity surging through Anubis!
He falls to the ground, paralyzed, and lets go of me. I try to pick him up, but to no avail.
“Come on! Get up Anubis, get up! Please! We have to escape!”
“It is no use, Chan, no use…he is just too stron for me to handle…”
“Too strong my ass!”
He looks up at me shocked at my language.
“You heard me! You said that my Aura showed great potential, right?”
“Chan don’t you don’t know how to-“
“SILENCE!”
He gulped once.
“Now, I may not know how to fight like you, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t know how to at all! I took a few lessons from my sensei, Mr. Lee, back at home! He taught me Karate, Kung Fu, and his brother, Jackie, taught me Judo! So I think that I can handle myself!”
I turn around to SSD and clench my fist tightly. “Alright Shock Strangle Destroy, get ready to feel the thund-ah!”
“Hey! That’s my line!” he says as he calls down a thunderbolt. I don’t move at all until it strikes.
“Ah-ha! Don’t start what you can’t finish!”
“I can finish it” I say all epic with the echoes.
“Wait-what-where are you?! QUIT YOUR HIDING YOU CHICKEN!!!”
“Who said I was hiding? Who said I wasn’t behind you?”
I watch from my safety as he whips around to stare at the emptiness behind him.
“Nope, I’m not there!”
“Quit it!”
“No, I don’t think I will…”
He grows really angry and starts dropping down thunderbolts everywhere in hopes of hitting me. I’ll admit, I’m a little nervous that he might hit me, but if my plan continues to work, then I might be able to defeat him.
“Come out of hiding!!!”
“I told you before, I’m not hiding…”
I start to sneak up on him. I’m preying to the nearby god that he doesn’t turn around. Luckily, he doesn’t. I creep up on him, about to deliver the single blow that will deliver him unconscious, when I hear something behind me. I quickl turn around to see a very large Ivysaur standing there!
“Hello” he says in an Australian accent.
“Uh, hi?”
He sends out vines and grabs me! He’s incredibaly fast!
“’Oy! Boss! I got ‘im!”
The mouse turns around. “Very good Toxico, very good!”
“Thanks mate!”
“Now,” he says as he begins to circle me, “how to punish you…I can’t kill you, for my boss wouldn’t like that, but he didn’t say anything about knocking you unconscious!”
He starts laughing. That laugh, that retarded laugh, it makes me so angry…I clench my fist tightly.
“Oh-ho! ‘Oy, boss, I think we made ‘im angry!”
“HA HA HA! Oh really? And just what is he gonna do to us? Huh? Tickle us to death? Huh?”
“Don’t tempt me” I say.
The two start laughing again…oh, man, that retarded laugh…
“You know what, I like you kid. You got moxie and spunk. Tell you what, instead of having us beat you up, hows about you join us?”
I stay silent.
“Is that a no?” Toxico asks.
I stay silent.
“Well boss, looks like the answer’s no.”
“Looks like you’re right Toxico. Well, I guess we’ll just have to…” he says as he reaches behind him, “severely harm you!” he screams as he whips out…nothing. “Waitwhat?! What the HELL?! Where is it?! TOXICO!”
“YES SIR?!”
“Did you take my dark tablet?!”
“No sir! I wouldn’t dare steal from you!”
“Then how do you explain its disappearance?! It didn’t just get up and walk away now did it?!”
I can’t help but to chuckle. “You didn’t see him take it did you?”
Toxico drops me and pins me down. “Who?!”
“Why, Arceus of course! He took it back while you two were busy with me!”
SSD turns to Toxico, they both nod, and they leave me to go over to Arceus. They start trying to beat him up, but to no avail of course, and I sneak up behind them. I pull out of my fur on my chest a dark-colored tablet. I read the inscription on it to myself, and suddenly my body started emanating a dark smoking aura. I hear Anubis gasp. The two turn to him.
“What’s with you?” SSD asks him. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he sees me. “Oh…ssshhhhiiiii-“
I dash over and slap him with my tail. He was sent flying back into Toxico, who skids back towards the edge of the stairs. The boundary blocking access to the stairs is still active, so they can’t run away.
“No” I say. “There is no escape…”
I noticed my voice was much darker now. Darker, deeper, much more epic…
I witness the two shivering with fear.
“However, weeing you two here now, cowerin with fear, I can’t help but to feel sorry for you…you may leave this time, but so help me, if you try to attack me again, I won’t hold back!”
I sweep my arm from the left to the right and the boundary disappears. They run down the stairs in a frightened panic.
I lower back to the ground-apparently I rose up into the air without noticing-and the dark aura wears off. I run over to Anubis.
“Dude, are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just don’t call me dude.
“Okay brah.” I say with a smile. He smiles back.
“That was quite impressive young one.”
I whip around to Arceus. He is conscious again.
“Well, uh, thanks, I guess…”
“Now, as I was saying, you had a request for me, Aura Guardian?”
He shakes his head. “No. I’m fine.”
Arceus seems surprised. “You…don’t want anything at all?”
Anubis nods.
“Oh…well, so be it.” He turns around to me. “Young one, looks like I was wrong about you. I’ll be honest with you. I didn’t think you were worthy, but after seeing that display of control with my power…”
“You mean, that he is granted one of your tablets?”
He nods.
“That is so cool!” I said.
“Which one do you wish to accept, young White One?”
I look down to the dark tablet already in my possession. “This one” I finally say.

“Are you sure?” Arceus asks.
I simply nod in response.
“Then you are granted the Tablet of Shadows.”
“Tablet of Shadows?” Anubis asks. “Wasn’t that the ghost type tablet?”
“No Guardian, the tablet of which you speak is the Tablet of Spectres.”
He nods. “Oh. I guess that makes sense…”
Arceus turns back to me. Now, I believe you came here for a reason?”
I point back to Anubis. “Ask him. I know pretty much nothing of this prophecy.”
He turns back to Anubis. “Is this true? You haven’t told him the prophecy?”
“Not all of it…not yet…I figured that it may have been more important to get him here first.”
He nods. “I understand. Now, to summarize it shortly White One, you and a group of friends are destined to save this planet from an evil menace. He is simply known as…”
“Known as what?” I ask after his pause lasted several seconds.
“As…The Floating Freak…”
I snicker but try to hide it. “Seriously?! The Floating Freak?!”
He nods. “Comedic, I know, but you can never argue with a prophecy.”
Anubis nods. “He has a point…”
I shrug. I tuck away the Tablet of Shadows into my fur just above my chest.
“However, young one,” Arceus starts off. I look up at him. “You are not the White One from the Prophecy.”
My jaw drops down to the ground. “THEN WHY THE HELL AM I HERE!?!”
Arceus begins to glow again. This time however, a part of the light comes off of him and lowers down to me.
“STEP IN THE LIGHT” Arceus said in a loud echoing voice. Definitely god-like that’s for sure.
I hesitate, but do as told. When I step into the light, I can feel my body rising into the air. I feel more powerful! I can feel my body stretching out and getting bigger! Bigger, longer, stronger… What the hell is happening to me?!
The light slowly fades after I feel my body stop surging with power and after it stopped growing. I am lowered back down to the ground and the light completely fades away. I look up to Arceus which now looks like he normally does.
“What was that all about?” I ask. Then I quickly cover my mouth with my hands! My voice! “What’s wrong with my voice?! I sound…I sound more…more…”
“Grown up?” Arceus finishes for me. I only nod. “That’s because you have evolved.”
“I…evolved?”
He nods.
“Anubis!” I say quickly as I turn around to see him. I must have startled him for he jumped.
“What?! What’s wrong?!”
“Do you have a mirror?!”
“Uh, no, I-“
I rush over and hold him down. “Hold still” I tell him. Using his spikes I look at myself. I am no longer a Mincinno. I’m a Cincinno.
“Whoa!” is all I can think of to say.
“Yes, whoa.”
I turn back to Arceus. “Exactly why did you do this to me Arceus?”
“The White One spoken of in the prophecy is a Cincinno. I can tell that you are indeed that same Cincinno, but you simply hadn’t evolved yet. So I, simply, sped up the process a little bit…”
I nod. “So, you evolved me, so that I would be the true White One in the prophecy?”
“Yes. That is correct.”
I inspect my new body. “Huh…I wonder how my family would react when they see-MY FAMILLY!” I turn back to Arceus. “You’re a god; you know all, so I too have a request. Where is my family? Can you tell me where they are and if they are alright?”
Arceus bows down his head and his eyes begin to glow. A few seconds later he looks back down to me.
“They are gone…I’m sorry…”
“By gone, do you mean...” I pull my fore-finger across my throat making a kkkkhhhhhheeeeeck noise. He shakes his head. “No, I mean they’re captured. However, they are severely injured…”
“Who…who would do such a thing…WHO?!” I scream to the so-called heavens.
Anubis stands back up and walks over to me. “Are you al-“
“NO I’M NOT ALRIGHT!!! When I woke up this morning I thought it was going to be a great and wonderful day! I even had a schedule planned out! Wake up. Eat breakfast. Play with friends. You come over. We eat lunch. We learn more about you. It was all planned out! Then all of this happens!!! It isn’t fair!!!”
I throw my arms up as I scream that last sentence, and the sky above me darkens drastically. Must have been the Tablet of Shadows doing it.
“Chan! You have to calm down! Do you want to kill us all?!” Anubis yells above the thundering noises above us.
I slowly stop clenching my fists. Gradually, I start to calm down, and as I do so the clouds above us also begin to calm.
“You have to control your emotions! That is very important! Since I evolved you while you possessed the Tablet of Shadows, you have gained the powers of it as a natural ability! Who knows what else you may have learned!”
I turn to Arceus. “So, even you don’t know what happened within me?”
He shakes his head. “I’ve never done this before! However, I can tell you this much, one side-effect is your scarf color. Look for yourself!”
I look down to my neck where my scarves are and they’re changing color! When they’re done, they are a deep and pitch jet black! Darker than night itself!
“Whooooooooa…”
“Yes…whoa…”
I look back up to Arceus. “Now, about where my parents were when they…passed on…and who was in possession of them…”
He sighs. “If you must know, they were in a large compound. From what I see, that Pikachu and Ivysaur are heading inside it right now.”
“It must be their boss’ base” Anubis says. I turn to him and I nod.
“Well, if we’re going to go there, let us at least get prepared…”
Anubis nods.
“You’re coming with me, aren’t you?” I ask him. He nods again. “Excellent. I could use some backup as a precaution.”
“So it’s settled! Let’s get ready and head out whenever you’re ready.”
I nod to him. “Alright.”
We started down the stairs down Celestial Tower, when I stopped suddenly. “Hey, Anubis, are you cold?”
He shakes his head. “No. Why?”
“Well, it is just…that…ah…aahhh…AAAAHHHH…phew…too close…I thought I was gonna-AH CHOO!”
FWOOM! A blizzard emanated from my sneeze!
“Whoa! What the-“
“W-w-w-watch it-t-t will y-y-y-y-you?”
I look down the stairs to Anubis who is covered with snow.
“Oops. Heh, sorry!”
“D-d-don’t worr-rr-rry ab-b-bout it C-c-c-chill…”
“Chill…I like that…Chill the Cincinno! Yeah!”

The next day…

I awake from my nuzzled bed of my new scarves. I look around me. We’re in the nearby forest by Celestial Tower.
“Anubis? Anubis? You here?”
“Yeah! I’m over here!”
I look towards the voice and I see Anubis coming down a forest path with some food.
“Whoa! Where’d you get the grub?” I ask when I see cheeseburgers and hotdogs in his possession.
“There is a city nearby, remember?”
“Well yeah, but to give food like this to a Pokémon?”
He pulls out from behind him a large full-body sized cloak.
“I was in disguise.”
I stare at the cloak. “Ah…I guess that makes sense…”
We eat our fill of burgers before heading out. The only problem that came up was…
“Hey Anubis.”
He turns to me as we started down the road. “Yeah? What is it?”
“You know how to get there?”
He stops abruptly. “I thought you knew!”
I shake my head.
“This is a problem.”
“You’re telling me” I respond.
“I’m telling you what?” Anubis asks me.
“That this is a problem.”
He stays silent for a few seconds. “I thought you said that…”
“No, I did.”
We both turn around and see a human standing there.
“Uh…Mwerreeooowwww?” I say.
“Nice try, but I know ya’ll can talk.”
“Way to go Chill, you blew our cover!” Anubis says to me.
“Actually, I followed you here Lucario.”
Anubis silences. I smile.
“So, you needed to know about some HQ or something? I think I may be able to help.”
“And just how is that?” I ask him.
He pulls out some kind of black ball with red and yellow lines on it. It looks…luxurious. He tosses it up and it opens up. A White light comes out of it and lands right in front of me. It turns into a large Eagle-like creature.
“Falco! I choose you!” the human said as he tossed the ball up.
“Whoa! A Braviary!” Anubis gasps. “You must be a high level trainer!”
“Trainer?” I ask. “So you are a Pokémon Trainer?”
The human boy nods. “Yep! Sure am! The name’s Shiro! Nice to make your acquaintance!”
He holds out a hand. I take it with my scarf and we shake.
“Huh. A Cincinno with black scarves…how is that possible?”
“It is a long story. Now you said you could help us out with finding that HQ somehow?”
He hops up onto the Braviary. “Yep! Hop on!”
I reluctantly jump up onto it’s back. It had this glare in its eyes…made my fur stand on end…scary…but, as for Anubis, he said that he’d just follow us on land.
“I have this thing about flying…bad past experiences…I’d rather not go into detail. You understand.”
Shiro nods. “That’s fine.” Then he turns to me. I’m riding between the wings and shoulder blades. He’s a little bit further up. “And what about you?”
“Nah, I’ve never flown before…”
“Oh-ho man, you’re gonna love it dude!” the Braviary said to me.
“What the-are you a surfer?” I ask him.
“No I’m-“
“Not you Shiro. Your Braviary.”
“Chya. Sure am dude! Raised my whole life in Undella Town and the nearby bay bra! Surfer until the end!”
“How is that pos-“ Anubis started when the Braviary interrupted him.
“Sorry bra! Time to go! I hope that blue dude can keep up!”
“I can do better than that!” he says almost like challenging the Braviary.
“Alright Falco,” Shiro said, “let’s get going! Up, up, up, and AWAY!!!”
The Braviary flapped once and FA-SHOOOMMM!!! We shot upwards so fast that I found myself clutching for dear life with Shiro’s chest!
“Whoa! This is fast!” I said loudly over the wind rushing by.
“So, which direction is the HQ in, do you know?” Shiro asked me.
“No! But I do know it is in an ocean like area with a lot of wind and swift currents nearby…”
“Hmm…that could be near Nuvema Town…hang on!”
“You don’t have to tell me twiiiiiiiii-“
Before I could finish, Falco took off like a rocket! Before I knew it, we were at an old building. We landed by a sign near it and when Ihopped off and regained my center of balance, I went over to read it.
“Welcome! This is the Team Plasma Secondary Headquarters! All visitors are trespassers and will be dealt with severely! Have anice day!”
“Well, that’s rather inviting now isn’t it?” I ask with a bit of sarcasm.
“Ya think?”
I turn back around and see Anubis coming up the mountain path leading up to the old building.
“I think that this may be the place. It sure does resemble what Arceus showed to us that’s for sure.”
“Wait, you two met Arceus? THE Arceus?! God-like deity in Sinnoh mythology?! The creator of the world according to same mythology?!” Shiro asks.
I shrug. “If he’s big, has many plates mirroring types like this one,” I say as I pull out the Tablet of Shadows, “then yeah. The same one.”
“Ohh-ho-ho-ho gnaaarrly!” Falco exclaims.

I nod.
“That could explain why your scarves are black!”
I nod. “That’s what I think caused it.”
“Not only that, but that must be because you can talk!”
“Actually, I believe that the reason I can talk, is because he evolved me.”
“HE evolved you?!”
I nod.
“Uh, don’t mean to interrupt, but shouldn’t we get going?”
I turn around to Anubis. “Right.” I turn to the large building. “Team Plasma eh? Well, let’s just have a little look shall we?”
We all nod. Shiro returns Falco to his container thingy.
“It is called a Luxury Ball” Shiro told me when I asked.
